Staring into the pantry looking at bare shelves after your big carb food purge? Here is a quick list of essentials to have in your pantry and fridge to prepare of add to any meal, or quick snack on the fly.

1. Seafood
Fish and shellfish are very keto-friendly foods. Salmon and other fish are rich in B vitamins, potassium and selenium, yet virtually carb-free

2. Low-Carb Vegetables
Non-starchy vegetables are low in calories and carbs, but high in many nutrients, including vitamin C and several minerals.

3. Cheese
Cheese, cheese and more cheese! Take your pick try some way out there ones, and enjoy the hundreds of different ways to use and eat cheese.

4. Avocados
A hugely versatile fruit. You can find recipes from the cakes to mousse with an Avo base, or just open it up add salt and vinegar and enjoy

5. Meat and Poultry
Meat and poultry are considered staple foods on a keto.

6. Eggs
One of the healthiest and most versatile foods on the planet.

7. Coconut Oil
Use for cooking, baking, add to coffee or spoon it out and add to Nutt butter for a fat bomb, that will drive ketones up.

8. Plain Greek Yogurt and Cottage Cheese
Plain Greek yogurt and cottage cheese are healthy, high-protein foods. Not carb-free to keep an eye on the carb count

9. Olive Oil
Olive oil provides impressive benefits for your heart. Add it to salads, and most other foods to increase heart healthy fats. It isn’t as stable as saturated fats at high temperatures, so best not to cook with it.

10. Nuts and Seeds
Nuts and seeds are healthy, high-fat and low-carb foods. Peanuts are legumes with a moderate carb count and lectin count, so use moderately.

11. Berries
Berries are low in carbs and high in fiber. Mix high-fat yogurt with protein powder and berries for a delicious dessert or snack.

12. Butter and Cream
You can never have too much butter and cream. High in fat and only trace carbs. If you don’t like the taste of something just add butter or cream!
